Telehealth Counselling
Our Social Worker and Psychologist offer free, short-term counselling via phone or video conferencing for Tasmanian women. Our particular areas of focus are:
- Emotional health and wellbeing counselling
- Preparation for birth, pregnancy and parenting
- Pregnancy options counselling
- Hypnotherapy
As with all our work we take a strengths-based and solutions-focused approach to counselling. We can also offer a number of referral options for longer-term counselling or practical support. Translating and interpreting services are available.
Online Classes
Our online health and wellbeing classes are great for your body and mind. The classes are available through our closed facebook group. Go here to join.

Workshops, webinars and networks
For the community
We host forums and workshops on various topics of interest to women at various venues, subject to social distancing requirements. We can also off them on Zoom. The issues covered range from individual physical health to broader issues which impact on the wellbeing of women. Some of the many topics covered in recent years include mental health, nutrition and exercise, stroke, violence against women, menopause, financial planning, digital technology and brain training. We provide talks and workshops for students and workplaces, subject to social distancing requirements. We can also offer them on Zoom. We also host two professional networks - the Women's Mental Health: Mental Health Professionals Network, and the Southern Perinatal and Infant Mental Health: Mental Health Professionals Network.

Women's Health Fund
The Women's Health Fund is administered state-wide by Women's Health Tasmania with the assistance of partner agencies.
The aim of the Women's Health Fund is to assist eligible women aged 25 and over to access Long Acting Reversible contraceptives and/or sexual and reproductive health services. To learn more call our Women’s Health Information Line on 1800 675 028 for more information.
Young women aged 12 - 24 can access the Youth Health Fund via The Link.
