News and Events

Women's Health Tasmania hold events throughout the year to inform, entertain and celebrate women. Upcoming events are listed below, advertised in our Newsletter, and on our Facebook page.

Forum for Health Professionals - Religious Discrimination Bill

A forum to assist doctors and other medical and health practitioners to hear from and discuss with a range of experts the practical ramifications of the proposed 'Religious Discrimination Bill'.

The forum will be chaired by Lara Giddings, former Tasmanian Premier and Health Minister.

First We Dance... Then We Revolt...!

A music / dance evening and fundraiser featuring two fabulous female lead musical acts: KUDU JOY - a 5 piece, dramatic pop band with gorgeous jazz soul trimmings and MUM AND DAD - a golden era Hip Hop duo with 'rhymes & beats to get you off your seat'!: Thursday 12th March 2020!

WHT Big Rosie Day

The event was a fabulous success with more than 220 Rosies counted, a new Pan Pacific Record for the greatest number of women in one place dressed as Rosie the Riveter. And we have had official confirmation, New Zealand did indeed weep at news of our record.

30 Years of Women's Health Tasmania

October 2018 marks the 30th Anniversary of Women's Health Tasmania.

To commemorate this, we are launching a campaign to raise money to provide information and activities to women who are particularly at risk of having poor health.
