Walking Group

Our friendly women’s walking group has returned!  

Under the latest Government regulations, the group can run, with a maximum of 20 walkers.

The walks will take place in the Hobart metropolitan area and begin at 10.30am.

Newtown Rivulet

Meet near Lady Franklin Gallery, on the corner of Lenah Valley & Brushy Creek Rd.   On street parking available on either Lenah Valley Rd or Brushy Creek Rd.  

July 7

Pipeline Track Park and meet at the Ferntree Tavern car park.  There is additional street parking down Summerleas Road.  
July 14 Sandy Bay Foreshore Meet outside Seagrass Longpoint Restaurant.  We will walk lower Sandy Bay beach to Blinking Billy Beach.  To see a map click here.  
July 21 Cornelian Bay Walk Meet near Boat House Restaurant off Queens Walk.  
July 28 Knocklofty, West Hobart Meet at the main car park (drive up Forest Road, when the road becomes gravel take a left turn to find the car park).
August 4 Howrah Beach Meet at the intersection of Lower River Street and Alexandra Esplanade.
August 11 Princess Park & Battery Point Meet at Salamanca Place lawns at the silos end.  Walk through Princess Park and into Battery Point, returning via St David's Park.  *Free parking can be found in Battery Point, but is limited.  
August 18 Taroona Foreshore Park and meet at the intersection of Niree Parade and Taroona Crescent.  We will head down to walk the foreshore passing Batchelor's Grave and boatsheds.
August 25 Max's Infinity Loop at The Domain Meet in the car park just near the intersection of Clearys Gates Road and Upper Domain Road.

We regularly host forums and workshops on various topics of interest to women at various venues. The issues covered range from individual physical health to broader issues which impact on the wellbeing of women. Some of the many topics covered in recent years include mental health, nutrition and exercise, stroke, euthanasia, violence against women, menopause, financial planning, digital technology and brain training.
